Jamie Oliver
& Cranswick - Develop New Food Range
Cranswick are pleased to
announce a joint venture with Jamie Oliver launching a range of food
products to the major multiples which will be available from this
spring.
Cranswick is the licensee responsible for a
wide range of new products.
Developed by Jamie and his food team, in conjunction with Cranswick, we believe it is bound for
success.
The range includes; fresh
pork joints, steaks and marinated ribs along with sausage, bacon,
Italian charcuterie and hand made fresh Italian pasta. Included in the
range are sausages for kids too.
All the pork uses high welfare British pork from pigs bred outdoors on
Freedom Food approved farms. After Jamie’s ‘save our bacon’ campaign
it seemed only right to use the best welfare available at an affordable
price so that everyone can enjoy Jamie’s portfolio of products.
The pasta is made by hand,
near Modena in Italy, into a vast array of shapes using the best quality
ingredients including free range eggs and a good helping of passion.
The charcuterie range is made using authentic recipes which go back
generations and produced in northern Italy.
The sausage range contains
whole cuts of shoulder and belly with a generous helping of fresh herbs
and the dry cured bacon, using Jamie’s unique ‘Essex cure’ which
includes Malden sea salt.
Jamie’s ethos is to keep it
simple & encouraging people to cook. The range has been developed
to educate and inspire people to cook great tasting food. Every joint
carries Jamie’s advice on how to get great results with those chef’s
tips he is so well known for. He believes no one should be scared to
have a go at cooking a great pork roast with proper crackling, or to use
cuts of meat they are not used to – this range could form part of an
everyday cooking experience, not just special occasions!
The launch took place on
Wednesday 20th January at his studios in North London where a range of
retailers were invited to meet Jamie and taste the new products, which
were showcased for the first time.
