Cranswick are delighted to announce that their premium bacon has won an award at the recent Grocer Own Label Excellence Awards 2008.
The Grocer Own Label Excellence Awards recognise the most outstanding products in the own label category. Products are judged on taste, appearance, packaging, content, value for money and clarity of labelling.
The Sainsbury's Taste The Difference British Dry Cured Applewood Smoked Back Bacon was awarded full marks by the panel.
Consumer verict: "This dry cured applewood smoked bacon was of exceptional quality and product delivery. Presented and priced to entice use at any time during the week, repeat purchases are all but guaranteed. The bacon achieved the maximum possible rating for innovation and relevance. Nearly three quarters of respondents thought this product was better than current similar offerings, appreciating the dry cure method and flavour of applewood smoking."
