Jamie believes good honest ingredients are key to fabulous food so he has created a new range of great tasting fresh pork, bacon, sausages and pasta. Developed by Jamie, the new fresh range reflects Jamie’s passion to educate, inspire and encourage everyone to get involved with delicious, good quality food.

Jamie’s new range is a collection which showcases both the best cuts of British pork and classic British and Italian style eating. It has been developed to inspire people to cook simple, great tasting fresh food without compromising on quality. What makes the range different is that Jamie has chosen top quality cuts of pork and ingredients and added his own personal touch with recipes from his own kitchen.

The range consists of 23 products across four categories: fresh pork, sausages, bacon and filled pasta. The fresh pork, bacon and sausage ranges are all produced from pigs bred outdoors on British farms inspected and approved by Freedom Food.

The Jamie Oliver fresh food range is available in selected major retailers including from July.


Fresh Pork

The fresh British pork range is all about great quality cuts of British pork. The whole range is produced from pigs bred outdoors on British farms approved by Freedom Food and caters for all eating occasions from simple suppers to Sunday roasts. The Old School Pork Chops are thickly cut pork chops, lightly seasoned with cumin, fennel and paprika for a great flavour, and the squeeze of lemon really brings out the flavour of the pork.

Development

The range has been developed in partnership with Cranswick who shares Jamie’s passion for producing top quality food products.

Animal welfare is really important to Jamie so all the British pork is from pigs which are outdoor bred on farms in the UK. These farms have been inspected and approved by Freedom Food - the RSPCA’s own farm assurance and food labelling scheme. The pigs are born outdoors in sheltered huts, staying with their mums before being moved into deep straw bedded barns where they continue to stay with the same pigs. Here they are kept in social groups where they have room to move, lie comfortably and express their natural foraging and rooting behaviours. Sows are kept outdoors at all times, with access to shelters with plenty of straw bedding material to allow them to lie comfortably and to nest build.

Freedom Food is the only farm assurance and food labelling scheme dedicated to improving the lives of farm animals. The RSPCA standards cover all aspects of the pig’s life including living conditions, diet, handling, transport and slaughter.
